Job Finder is built by VENTURES.EU, UNIPESSOAL, LDA, a company in Lisbon, Portugal, building a venture studio. Job Finder is one of its own products rather than a client's.
It does not sell advertising to employers and it does not take a fee for listing a job, which is why it can afford to show you fewer jobs than the big boards and to tell you when not to bother applying. The people who pay for it are the people using it.
It exists because job search is broken in a specific, fixable way: the boards are full of postings that are filled, duplicated or were never real, and the search matches words rather than whether you could do the job. We read employers' own hiring systems every night instead of a copy of them, so a role listed here is a role that is open — and we read your CV against the whole description rather than its title.
Today we read 277 employers' boards and 5,496 open roles. That is small, deliberately: every board is verified by asking it for a posting, and an employer we cannot confirm is left out rather than guessed at.
Where it actually stands
The crawl, the corpus and the pay data run nightly, and so does the matching: your CV is read within a minute of you dropping it in, and every night the open roles are scored against it and ranked, each with a verdict — including the ones not worth your time. Two things are not switched on yet: the email digest and the paid plans, so for now the site is where you come back to and nothing costs anything. Accounts are let in by hand while it is a demo. We say so on the way in rather than after you have signed up.
